Recently a friend asked me to recommend some budget-friendly ways to step up her detox game. So, I reviewed my very long list of things I personally use and narrowed it down to these 5. These are my favorite tools for radiant health that won’t break the bank. I personally use all of them.

Dry skin brush

We eliminate about a pound of waste each day through our skin – but not when our pores are clogged. Daily skin brushing unclogs the pores and allows the skin to breathe. It also stimulates the lymphatic fluid for optimal daily detox and cellulite smoothing. Choose a brush with natural fibers, like this one.

Tongue scraper

Take a look at your tongue when you wake up in the morning. Does it have a thick, grayish or white coating? This could indicate sluggish digestion or toxins in the colon. Those toxins are looking for a way out. Get them out with daily tongue scraping. Using a tongue scraper (my favorite tool for first thing in the AM) is about 5x more effective than just brushing your tongue with a toothbrush. Click on the image to check this one out.

Rebounder

Jumping on a rebounder is one of most efficient ways to exercise, especially if you only have 10-15 minutes a day. Bouncing and jumping stimulate the lymphatic system, which is basically your body’s sewer system. Unlike the body’s circulatory system, which has the heart to keep the blood flowing, the lymphatic system has no pump. That means it’s up to us to get the lymph moving. Jumping on rebounders gets everything moving. And it’s fun!

Nutribullet

By far my favorite kitchen appliance. Create superfood shakes and smoothies in seconds. Just as powerful as a Vitamix but smaller – ideal for single-servings. The cleanup is easier too – the container doubles as the cup. Click on the image to check it out.

Tonic Alchemy

Tonic Alchemy goes hand in hand with my Nutribullet. It’s a superfood blend with more than 90 items of goodness, including tonic herbs and probiotics from around the world, such as reishi mushroom, wheat grass, rhodiola, ashitaba, green tea, spirulina, wakame, chia seed sprouts, lactobacillus, ashwaganda, astragalus, gynostemma, schizandra, chlorella and kale. It’s a source of thousands of phyto-nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Essentially you could live off the stuff! I put a hefty scoop of it in my morning smoothie. Even tastes great with spring water and a single banana.

Here’s to your health!
